FLEET

Propane is the most cost-effective and easiest clean fuel for high consumption fleets to use.

Propane reduces greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improves air quality while saving your fleet money.

For a high consumption fleet operating on propane instead of conventional fuel, the cost savings will typically pay for the conversion investment within the first year.

Propane is cheaper than conventional gasoline, ethanol blended gasoline and diesel on a net fuel cost basis. Propane pricing has been more stable relative to gasoline over over the past 12 years and with abundant Canadian supply, propane availability is not a concern.

PROPANE FLEET CONVERSION

A high consumption fleet vehicle, running on propane, can save over $5,000 each year.

As the price of gasoline continues to rise, the cost savings from converting fleet vehicles to operate on propane increases. That’s because propane is cheaper than conventional gasoline, ethanol blended gasoline and diesel on a net fuel cost basis.

In fact, the fuel savings for a high mileage vehicle can offset the cost of conversion, usually in one year. Maintenance costs do not increase for converted vehicles. In fact, by converting to clean burning propane, it may be feasible to extend oil drains and reduce fleet maintenance costs.

Propane also offers the lowest overall life-cycle fuel costs to high consumption commercial fleets, while reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and improving air quality.

Fuel Injection Technologies

Today’s propane fuel injection technologies are significantly improved over the old carbureted technologies used in the 1980s and 1990s. Typically, these modern fuel injection technologies, with sophisticated electronic controls, work in combination with the OEM electronics, and use injectors designed specifically for propane. This has led to excellent emissions results along with drivability and performance equivalent to gasoline.

Millions of kilometers have been logged using the technology in severe duty use, proving its capability to meet the rigors of fleet use.
